5 Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him. 6 Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. 7 My salvation and my honor depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge. 8 Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge. Psalm 62:5-8 NIV
Welcome to VRBC's Refuge Student Ministries website where you can find all you need to get connected! First things first, there is a reason behind the name Refuge. We desire to give students a place to come, acknowledge, and express their need for God. Within Psalm 62, we read God is able to be so many things to us. He is our rest. Our rock. He is our source of hope and salvation. Honor and glory. He is our Refuge.
At Refuge Student Ministries, we seek to equip students to love the gospel of grace and live in response to it everyday... or as we say "With all we have, all the time!"
Every Sunday morning at 9:30AM, any 6-12 grade student is welcome to join us in the 2nd Floor Student Wing of VRBC. Around 9:45AM, after some mingling time and BREAKFAST!!, we will head into the auditorium for some 'get the blood flowing and the mind working' time where we typically do some games, some giveaways, and then have a relevant and biblically rooted discussion about stuff that comes up in the life of the Christian teenager...

86:12 is our Sunday night ministry for all high school and middle school students. The name comes from Psalm 86, verse 12, which says, "I will praise you, O Lord my God, with all my heart; I will glorify your name forever." The main goal of 86:12 is to help students learn a lifestyle of worship - recognizing God’s activity in our lives and responding. We do this primarily through two groups: Grow Groups & Family Groups! MS ONE80 is a midweek night with lots of food and fun for our Middle School Students. We meet up at 6PM and start with an always awesome group game and food. Afterward, we dive into a discussion that's tailored specifically for middle schoolers with some things to think on and act on the rest of the week!
HS Wednesday Night is a midweek gathering from 7:30 to 9PM every Wednesday night for all high school students. An intentional time for high schoolers to go deeper with God, His Word, and one another in the middle of an always crazy week.
